Tungabhadra Steel Products
Tungabhadra Steel Products Limited (TSP) was set up jointly by the Governments of Mysore and Andhra Pradesh in the year 1960. The Work shops & Machinery Division of Tungabhadra Project was established in 1948 to undertake manufacturing of Gates & Hoists required for spillways, sluices and canal Gates of Tungabhadra Dam and was the forerunner of Tungabhadra Steel Products Limited
In the year 1967, the Govt. of India purchased 51 % of the shares of Tungabhadra Steel Products Limited and became a major shareholder. The Company was bought under the administrative control of Ministry of Heavy Industry, Government of India.
